Are you a die-hard rainbow fan or do you prefer to catch the beautiful Arctic Char? How about an unforgettable day of Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling or Dolly Varden fishing? Concentrate on one or all of the species, it’s your choice. Throw the rods in the back of the plane and head for new lakes daily or relax and fish from the camp – we do the rest.

At Renfro’s we strive to tailor each and every fishing trip to our clients needs. This and our desire to maintain the pristine natural environment means that we only cater to one select fishing group per week.

The area we call home and that you will be fishing are the world-renowned Wood Tik Chik Lakes and the little known drainages of the Kilbuck Mountains in western Alaska. There are no permanent structures; therefore, we use moveable camps to ensure we leave the area untouched. The camp is mobile, but has the amenities of a lodge and consists of a cook tent, comfortable sleeping tents, a tent for showering, a toilet tent, and a tent for socializing at the end of a long day of arm tiring fishing.

In addition to great fishing, you have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and experience pristine untouched Alaska the way it was truly intended to be experienced.

Wildlife is abundant here in Western Alaska. The mulchatna caribou herd migrate through the mountains were we fish, last count the heard was approximately 100,000 animals. Moose, black bear, brown bear, musk ox, wolf, wolverine, various small game, a abundance of birds, walrus and other marine mammals live in western Alaska. While on your fishing trip you will see most of the animals listed – so be sure to bring your camera or video camera. Musk ox and walrus live on the coast farther away from areas we fish, however we can customize your trip to include viewing walrus and or musk ox if this appeals to your group.

For a change we can also offer to include a day of mountain hiking, back packing or kayaking from the camp.
